Anyway, you should be able to buy beads, findings etc cheaply on eBay. They usually come from China or somewhere but they’re generally decent enough quality.

Where can I buy beads, sterling silver findings etc at wholesale prices in Australia?
My children and I would like to make jewellery. Our aim is to host jewellery parties, set up market stalls etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Love beads are usually just free form strung beads, there was no real pattern. Sometimes beads were combined with macramé, again it was up to each person as to how they knotted them together. The twine and the beads themselves are still available, although they have grown up and changed their names. Most craft stores carry beads and stringing materials, so a trip to a place like Michael’s will give you most of what you need. Look for hemp twine, it available in colours, and then look for crow beads, pony beads, and tile beads. These all have larger holes for the twine and are what was used back in the day. Be sure the beads have holes big enough for the twine! There are also smaller glass “E” beads, the original love beads, they are harder to find but come in some amazing colours. Wood beads are always apropos for hippy wear. In the hobby store you will likely find a few books and pamphlets describing how to make hemp macramé and beaded jewelry. They have instruction on how to make some simple and true to the era pieces.

When I was a mere child I strung and macramed beaded necklaces and bracelets and sold them in the summer in the park, when all the hippies would gather and play music and talk and hang out. I made enough to buy myself a fancy stereo record player.

I would remind him in the nicest way possible that a woman loves her engagement ring for the sentimental value and not for the investment value. If he wants you to have a Leo so badly then he can buy you one and have it set in a pendant to wear on your wedding day.

I really hope that you can make him understand how much you love what you have. However, pick your battles with him. If it becomes a huge issue you may have to give in. Good luck!

Where to buy different beaded bracelets? What stores?
I love those different beaded bracelets you get at like those fairs and stuff. I was wondering though if there is anywhere that you can buy them from?

Either American Eagle [i know they have them there], Aeropastale, and of course, thrift stores! But american eagle has awsome looking ones and maybe you could try claires. or even ebay
